From rite songs to hip-hop

About a thousand amateurs of folk and pop song performance took part in the selection tour of the festival.

Last year it was easier for us to look for authentic groups that exactly remember the tune of ancient song. The scale of the festival is getting bigger and it is more difficult to find music of that kind. Anyway, owing to the fact that “Pechenyz’ke Pole” is an ever-acting festival we can keep, without loosing, heritage that we have today.

40 groups and more than 300 performers from different places of Slobozhanshchyna got admission to the festival concerts that will take place on two stages. Members of the Jury promise the viewers meetings not only with famous folk performers and musicians but also with new ones – from authentic singing to hip-hop. The last representative will be a children group from Vovchans’k, a winner of Ukrainian contest. Little dancers will be hors concours.
